Before kickstarting the new year 2022, let's look back at the goings on from 2021. An exceptional year for Kukoon Rugs!
Booming Good Business
2021 started with another lockdown. However, at Kukoon Rugs we were busy as ever. The launch of our stylish doormats, fabulous outdoor rugs and stunning new ranges sent you, our customers, into a frenzy.
Let's spring forward to March. The month we hit one of our biggest milestones yet. We opened a distribution centre in Liverpool! For us, this meant much more space to store lots more rugs. An extra 47,000 sq ft to be exact. For our customers, this now means a much wider choice of styles, designs and sizes when shopping rugs online.
With so much space to fill, we weren't long sending our purchasing team on their travels to source the best rugs out there. They did an incredible job and now Liverpool's shelves are full!
Free returns (yes, you read that right!). We took the plunge in 2021 and started offering returns free of charge. Being able to delight all our customers by offering both free delivery and free returns on all orders was a massive achievement for team Kukoon Rugs. Yes, we are that confident our customers will love their order!
November brought the busiest month yet for Kukoon Rugs. Our Black Friday sale sky-rocketed. While all our wonderful customers were busy bagging themselves a bargain, the entire Kukoon Rugs team were bustling behind the scenes making sure each order was shipped out on time. In fact, the Black Friday sale was that much of a hit that our website just couldn’t handle the heat anymore and crashed. A good sign if you ask us! But not to worry, we were back up and running in no time.
Blessed with the Best Customers
A busy year wouldn't have been possible without our wonderful customers. Our social media went from strength to strength over the past year. We now have 70,000 of you following us on Instagram. And for those of you who have ventured onto TikTok, you will also find us over there!
We ended the year 2021 with a remarkable 32,000 5* Trustpilot ratings. Yes, 32,000 of you gave us a 5 star review. We can't ask for much more than that! *Virtual Hi Five*
Working hard, playing harder
All work and no play? We think not! At Kukoon Rugs we always make sure we are having fun along the way. Running marathons, ice cream, BBQs, penalty shoot outs, charity events, takeaway lunches - to name a few.
In September, four 'Kukoon Rugs Runners' teams got their running gear on and headed to Belfast for the Belfast City Marathon. Not only did everyone have a great days fun, we raised a terrific £6,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support & Southern Area Hospice. Job well done team! 
And that's a wrap! Rewarding, incredible, challenging & trailblazing are just some words to sum up the past year at Kukoon Rugs. And into 2022 we go.
